Our story
Our founder worked for one of the largest Health Insurance providers in the UK. In his first role, back in 2009, he sold tailored plans directly to small businesses over the phone. He later joined the retention department supporting clients and brokers with policy renewals.
Following this, he spent a short period of time working in the Personal Lines arena (Home, Motor and Travel insurance) before returning to Health Insurance and leading two highly successful distribution teams before deciding to launch 1822 Health in 2024.
With over 15 years’ experience in Health Insurance, we’ve seen and heard a lot – some good, some bad, some absolutely hilarious, but unfortunately lots of really confusing too! And it’s that confusion which led to the simple idea behind this business – a broker who takes the complexity out of Health Insurance.
We get all the jargon, but we know that not all buyers of Health Insurance do, whether you’re brand new to it or not. So, we decided to convert it all into a language which makes sense to us all and offer advice everyone understands. 1822 Health’s commitment is to ensure that our clients fully understand the policy they have/want, and help them to make the right decisions to avoid any disappointment should they come to claim.
